GGPoker Review 2026: The World's Biggest Poker Network, Tested

GGPoker launched in 2017 and rose faster than any room in poker's history, operated by the NSUS Group. Within a few years it had overtaken PokerStars to become the largest online poker network in the world by traffic, driven by aggressive marketing, a modern client and a partnership with the World Series of Poker for its online bracelet events.

Today it is a tier-one-licensed heavyweight (UKGC, MGA and more) with independently tested RNG. For a player, the headline is liquidity — GGPoker is where the biggest games and fields now are — combined with a deliberately recreational-friendly, HUD-free design and generous rewards. The one caveat, covered below, is how it takes its rake.

This is the section to read closely. GGPoker's headline cash rake is a standard 5% (10% on MTTs, 7% on Spin & Gold), but the important detail is that it rakes 3-bet preflop pots — most rooms do not — which raises the effective rake meaningfully. For a high-volume regular, that adds up.

Offsetting it is one of the most generous rakeback programmes in the game: Ocean Rewards (which replaced Fish Buffet in 2026), where you earn Tide Points and climb ranks to unlock progressively larger rewards. For a volume player that recovers a large share of the rake; for a casual player the effective return is smaller. GGPoker sits in the middle of the recreational-friendliness spectrum, and it protects casual players primarily through data rather than anonymity. Third-party HUDs are banned, hand histories are anonymised (you can study only your own play, not your opponents'), and automated seating tools are prohibited — all of which blunt the edge a professional can build over the pool.

Where it is more open than partypoker is table selection: player names are shown and you can choose your table, so it does not force anonymity. The design choice that defines the experience is the HUD ban: you play without third-party overlays, using GGPoker's own tools instead. For a recreational player that is a cleaner, friendlier experience; for a HUD-dependent grinder it is an adjustment. Either way, the software itself is among the best in the business.

GGPoker's welcome offer is a solid 100% deposit match (typically up to around $600), released in increments as you pay rake over roughly 90 days. More important is the ongoing Ocean Rewards rakeback, which is among the most generous in the game.
